Anti-tank missile used in the terrorist attack on the British embassy car

The Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh said that an LAW anti-tank missile was used in the attack on the British embassy vehicle last Wednesday October 6th, 2010, in Sanaa.
He said that such missiles came to Yemen’s Al Qaeda militants from Somalia.

In his speech in the exceptional Arab summit in the Libyan city of Sirte on Saturday, October 9th, 2010, Saleh called for a financial support of at least 10 million US dollars per month for Somalia to build its state and fight terrorism.

The Yemen official news agency ,Saba, has the following report on the Sale’s speech in the summit.
President Ali Abdullah Saleh delivered an important speech in the extraordinary Arab summit which kicked off its works on Saturday in the Libyan city of Sirte.

In his speech, Saleh affirmed that the importance of this summit comes out from the important topics which will be discussed, topped by the Arab joint work and activating its mechanisms to serve national security and reinforce capacities of the nation to confront the surrounding challenges and dangers at more than a level.

"Yemen presented an initiative to activate the Arab common work and unify the Arab stance through establishing a union of the Arab states," he said, adding "if this initiative will split the Arab stance, we have no objection to freeze or postpone it for what is important is to improve the Arab common work.

He thanked the Libyan leader Muammar al-Qadafi for his support for the Arab unity and his efforts in the success of the previous Arab summit.

Saleh dealt with developments in the Palestinian arena and difficulties put by the Israeli entity to hinder the just and comprehensive peace process in the region.

He emphasized the significance of the Arab aid for the Palestinian people and their struggle as well as the Palestinian authority to enable it to face the Zionist arrogance and their expanding settlement plans in the occupied Palestinian territories.

President also called for supporting Sudan to preserve its security, stability and unity of its lands.

As for Somalia, Saleh stressed the necessity to help the Somali interim government to contain the security situations and combat sea piracy, in addition to maintaining security, stability and peace.

He requested the summit to approve no less than $10 million a month as a support for Somalia in order to promote capacities of the Somali government to face the current challenges and combat terrorism.

Concerning the raised issue over the Arab neighborhood policy and establishing a regional association for the Arab countries, he said that "we have to realize that it is not possible to create relations with any neighbor country occupying Arab lands or interferes in any Arab country's affairs."

Concluding his speech, President Saleh wished the extraordinary summit all success for the good of the Arab nation.
